About Us

Kyle Cornelison started out in the insurance industry in 1990 with New York Life insurance company; he completed the three year training course with New York Life. While there Kyle earned the Chairman’s Council Award in his first year. Along the way, he also earned several other industry awards.

In 1994, Kyle joined Alabama Farm Bureau and represented Southern Farm Bureau, and Farm Bureau of North Carolina in the State of Alabama to the Farm Bureau Members. While with Farm Bureau, he earned numerous awards to include Round Table six times, he earned his million Dollar ring and several All Stars and Grand Slams.

On two occasions Kyle was in the Top Ten of approximately 4000 agents. During this time, he earned the industry certifications of Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter. Both of the designations were earned through the American College. These awards mean Kyle is qualified to advise you on most of your retirement, estate planning, long term health care, and personal insurance needs to include life insurance, home insurance, auto insurance, long term heath care insurance, health insurance, and supplemental insurance needs.

While serving through Farm Bureau, he also acted as President of the Tuscaloosa Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as serving on the State Board and was elected to serve as the Area State Vice President of the Alabama Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

In 1995 Farm Bureau of North Carolina decided to leave the state of Alabama and we transitioned our business to another company. Those that were our clients at the time remember how difficult that transition was. Kyle decided in 2008 that he could best serve his clients as an independent agent.

In 2008, Cornelison and Associates became independent and started representing such companies as Travelers, Hartford, Donegal, Britt/Paulk, Progressive, American Modern, Foremost, Infinity, and Old Republic. We now represent many more companies than these, but that was our independent start.

In 2013, we became ZEALCO insurance agency. This move was to develop a brand identity away from my name. As we grew, it became obvious that our way of doing business was attractive to consumers and we decided to develop a brand that could be used state and nationwide. In 2014, Todd Mills joined the agency. Todd brings a strong financial background with him to the agency; he also has a thriving Accounting Practice which he operates out of the same office as Zealco Insurance. Todd’s experience in Accounting and Financial Planning date back to 1989 when he started his Accounting Practice, this makes him uniquely qualified to take care of your Commercial and Business Insurance needs.
